Monday, March 24th, 2008AT&T sucks and I hate them. That about sums up my feelings on them. Here’s why:
1. We had a broken phone about a year ago. It was the actual make of the phone, i.e. how it was put together, that was broken. We sent it in to get fixed and we were sent a new phone…FOR LIKE $450!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They said it was our fault, which is wasn’t.
2. Their customer service absolutely sucks. Anytime I’ve called them they have been rude and completely unhelpful. AT&T has the worst customer service people I’ve ever dealt with.
What To Do With A Kids Bathroom
Monday, March 24th, 2008
So when we started fixing up our place to sell, there was one area I had ZERO desire to touch, my daughters bathroom! She is lucky enough to have her own bathroom, but that makes the parents very unlucky when having to clean it. She’s 6, so there’s some things she doesn’t quite get yet…
What My Husband Would Give…
Saturday, March 22nd, 2008
A little while before my husband and I got married we made our first purchase together. A 52 inch projection TV, this massive thing that we still love to this day. Put together with my husbands surround sound, we have a TV that we can watch with quite a bit of entertainment. But what my husband wouldn’t give for a home theater…
That Computer Costs WHAT?
Saturday, March 22nd, 2008There’s a few things that I have no concept of. I have no concept of measurement. I could tell you a mile is 5,280 feet, but I have no concept of how big a foot really is, I need a measuring tape with feet on it. Ounces, cups, gallons, no concept of that. I need something that clearly shows it, like a measuring cup. I had no concept of how much groceries cost until I started a strict budget, where previously a gallon of milk could have been $5 or $1.50, I couldn’t have told you which.
Another Survey Site To Stay Clear Of
Saturday, March 22nd, 2008
Ok ladies and gents, yes, I go through the pain and you guys just get the real goods. Yet another survey site has not made it onto my Online Surveys That Pay page. Ipsos, another one I used for about a month and a half. Their surveys are few and far between, plus their “ticket” system leaves much to be desired (LIKE CASH!)…
Ear Pierced Kindergartener!
Friday, March 21st, 2008
Well it happened, the kindergartener got her ears pierced. Just a kind of spur of the moment thing that my husband got in his head, whatever. So what do I know about piercing? Well, a lot. I didn’t get my ears pierced until I was much older (or at least I think I was much older). That being said, I now have my ears pierced 10 times (two piercings are an orbital, so I don’t know if you’d count that as two or 1 piercing) and I had my belly button done at one time. Point being, my ears are lined. So what do I tell my daughter about piercings?
Oh To Be Filthy Rich
Friday, March 21st, 2008We were driving by an area of town today that has these monstrous homes, all with mountain views that back to the green at a nice golf course. My husband commented “That’s the one we need, right there.” Besides me thinking he’s on some type of mind altering substance, it got me thinking as to a way we could get in a place like that.
The Family Friendly Yet Unfriendly Destination
Friday, March 21st, 2008
Does anyone remember a few years back when Las Vegas was trying to reinvent itself as a premier family friendly destination? I was in grad school at the time, I remember because their marketing campaign was all over the Wall Street Journal and I kept reading about it. But fairly quickly that campaign got tossed to the wind for the current “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas” campaigns today. So why isn’t Vegas the family friendly place they tried to make it?

House Hindsight
Thursday, March 20th, 2008
Hindsight is 20-20, or so I’ve been told. Now that we finally listed our home, actually listed this morning, I can’t help but think about all of the things we could have done to increase the value of our home. In this tough market, it’s the show homes that sell. I’m not only a home seller, but I’m a home buyer as well. I want the newest, cleanest, most up to date house for the cheapest possible price! But what could we have done differently?
