Is It Illegal To Kill A Nurse With Your Bare Hands?

    Tuesday, April 29th, 2008

My baby boy had his 1 year checkup today. Along with that came another round of shots. He was to get 3 shots and one TB poke. Lucky me, his normal nurse wasn’t the one giving the shots, it was a newbie, who hadn’t given shots to babies. Great… So she gave him his shots slowly (which about made me smack her). But when she couldn’t seem to do the TB poke, after 4 times of stabbing my son, I told her to get away from my son. So they couldn’t do the TB poke because they said my son was to upset. OH, YA THINK!!! Maybe it’s because you stabbed him repeatedly for no reason! There’s my rant.

    Monday, April 28th, 2008

What a Monday! We was pleasantly surprised to get an offer on our house today! It’s been on the market for 38 days and an offer came in at $5k under our asking. We took it, so the house is now under contract. Hopefully all works out well and this Mommie has a bigger house in less than a month…

It’s What Is Behind The Percentage

    Sunday, April 27th, 2008

So here is a snippet from my most recent shopping trip. This was when I wasn’t even trying to save, as I was there mostly for ingredients for a special dinner we were hosting that night. So it says I saved 37% or $36.09, but guess what…it’s wrong. I actually saved more. Here’s how:

    Grocery Game Series - #1 - Coupons

    Friday, April 25th, 2008

This is the first in Mommies grocery game series. The deal with the grocery game is that you try to match up sales at the grocery stores with coupons, thereby getting the best deal. Many times you are able to get products for free or even have the store pay you to take a product (I always love that). Since I don’t subscribe to Teri Gault’s grocery game ($65-$97.50 per year at least), here’s some tips to help you on your quest to save money without giving her yours!

Well, I guess it’s pretty official, we’re starting down the road to get pregnant again! Last time took quite a while, about a year of trying. It seemed like an eternity! So to get a body in tip top shape for another baby, here’s the tips I’m using:

    Wednesday, April 23rd, 2008

This month I’m doing some survey sleuthing for you guys in regards to Valued Opinions. This is one that has been flying below my radar because it doesn’t pay cash (and Mommie likes cash)! So how is this one stacking up?

    When Is It Safe?

    Sunday, April 20th, 2008

I took a walk around the lake today with my son and daughter. My son was in the stroller and my daughter was pushing her toy stroller with a care bear in it. We’d come to the street crossing and she’d have to look both ways, just like we’ve been practicing. But by the end of our walk, she’d just say “no cars” and go, not looking or anything. Freaked me out. Anyhow, when is it safe for them to cross the street on their own?
