Keeping Kids Safe

Now that summer is here, it’s hard to keep our 1st grader inside. Yesterday, while the baby took his afternoon nap, I basically told her to go across the street and ask some other kids if they wanted to play. We haven’t really encouraged any of this, as she’s been so young and we have a very tough time letting her out of our site. So how do you keep your kids safe when they start to go over to other kids homes to play?

Cheap Trip To The Zoo

I was at the park today with my kids and there was a grandma there with her 3 grandchildren. She had bought them lunch at Chick-fil-a and they had brought it there for a little picnic. I struck up a conversation with her and she said that it was only 2 weeks since the kids got out of school and she was already out of things to do with them. So we started to talk about the zoo.

Summer Movie Camp

Last summer while I had my daughter in swimming lessons, another one of the moms would come every now and then and say they just got back from a movie. Turns out she was taking her daughter to summer movie camp. For just $1 you can take your kid to go see a movie on Wednesdays from June 25th to August 6th. All proceeds go to charity.
