Well, August is over! I’m not quite sure that’s a bad thing. Even though it’s my birthday month and I loved August as a kid, it’s turned into my least favorite month. As I get older, the hotter it seems to get. I’m a Fall lover, I’m just giddy to get the cooler weather and the leaves to fall so lets say adieu to August!

In saying that, how did I do and where did I make my cash for this month?

First off, the rankings for Mommies Home.net stayed pretty good. The Google gods have again allowed me to maintain my PR of 3. Technorati improved a little from 42,565 to 40,591 (I always like that!). Alexa improved greatly from 521,682 to 333,743. While I like that, I still have a hard time finding any relevance in their rankings, but I digress…

Money wise I must admit that I didn’t hit my mark this month. I missed my goal by about $55 dollars. While you’d say that isn’t much, I view it as truly “missing the mark”. I started this blog for a few reasons, one to keep me busy as I made the transition from Corporate to the world of the SAHM, but secondly I started it to see if I could create some income just in case we, um, how do I put it, suddenly stopped receiving some monthly money that we had been. Well, that monthly money has stopped, so now missing my goal by $55 is a huge deal!

But I did make some good cash and here’s where I made it:

SURVEYS – Surveys were rough this month, I think I took like 100 and only qualified for about 15. Such is the way of the survey world, some months you make good money and some you don’t. But, for the surveys I did take LIGHTSPEED PANEL came in first, surprisingly only off one survey for the month. OPINION OUTPOST came in second with MY SURVEY coming in a close third. I received a ton of political surveys this month, which I view as a great way to have my opinion heard in other ways than just voting!

Advertising – I only sold two spots this month, but my ranking increased, so I expect that to increase.

OTHER – Adsense picked up a little this month as did Hits4Pay.

AMAZON AND TRAINING – I sold one book this month, must be in between semesters for the kiddos…

PPP – Any pay per post was paid out quite well in addition to the rest of my earnings.

So in review I didn’t do as well as I’d hoped, but I did make some decent money. I set goals high for September, as it’s becoming increasingly more important to bring the money in! Here’s to a cooler, more money making month!!
