Back In The Shop

So our van goes back into the shop tomorrow morning. I’m telling you, we have the worst possible luck when it comes to our cars….
Now it’s making some kind of belt noise (that’s new) and the problem they were supposed to fix is about 100 times worse. I’m sick of auto repair shops and even sicker of car repair prices. What I think happened (and I hope not but I’m pretty sure) is that since our van is under warranty, they just said they fixed the problem and collected from the warranty company, yet never actually fixed the problem.
When I called them to make another appointment, I told them that the loud knocking noise was back and it was even worse than before. The guy said it’s because the weather is cold…what the hell is that! So I asked him if all cars they serviced sounded horrid during cold weather or if it was just minivans. It’s like I need an auto repair encyclopedia in order to talk to them correctly. Sometimes I hate being a woman, and dealing with car guys is definitely one of those times!
It’s not like I’m going to a Chrysler dealership and asking them about Honda Accord repair, I’m taking a Chrysler van into a Chrysler dealership and authorized repair place and asking them to fix their product. Ugh, it’s unnerving to say the least. I checked them out on better business bureau and they came up clean, so I’m suprised.
I guess we’ll find out tomorrow and I’ll keep you posted!
