Birthday Over and What Did I Learn?

    Saturday, December 13th, 2008

We just finished up our daughters seventh birthday party a few hours ago. We tried to keep it quick this year, if you’ve ever been to a kids birthday party with no end then you’ll know the reason why. We cleaned most of the morning (my husband cleaned last night and this morning, thanks dear) in anticipation of having 28 people in our home. We left an hour and a half for everyone to get there, open presents, eat cake and ice cream and letting the kids play. All worked out well. But when it was over I was saddened by my kids response…

    Dolls I Can Actually Like

    Tuesday, December 9th, 2008

Anyone who knows me personally knows that I’m not a huge girly girl. My daughter has definitely been into it but I’ve had to make efforts to aide her in the girly stuff. I’m much more at home playing with cars and dinosaurs! That being said, I’ve always had issues with getting [...]

    Awesome Turkey Pot Pie

    Friday, December 5th, 2008

So I found this recipe at Your Fun Family for a turkey pot pie. I love pot pies, but I never eat them because of how many fat grams they have in them. Man, they taste good though. So looking at the recipe, I tried it because I liked the idea of [...]

    Mommie’s Christmas List

    Tuesday, November 25th, 2008

It’s just not as easy these days to write a Christmas list. This is just a quick one that perhaps my husband will watch.
When I was a kid, that was a ball to make a Christmas list! You could open up a toy catalog and go crazy! MEGA Brands can help you [...]

    Security For The Fam

    Saturday, November 22nd, 2008

When I purchased my home, it came equipped with the ADT security system. I was very about this when I married my husband and I suddenly had a little preschooler running rampant. All of our doors and windows have alarms on them. This may sound like something small, but honestly it’s been [...]

Miracle Fruit For Your Taste Buds

    Friday, November 21st, 2008

I was watching The Doctors the other day and they had a blurb about this miracle fruit called Synsepalum dulcificum. If you eat this fruit then anything sour will taste very sweet afterwards. It is said to be the next big thing in weight loss, as you can eat brussel sprouts and asparagus, [...]

    My Little Man Is Sick

    Friday, November 21st, 2008

After the second straight night of no sleep for me, my husband and our son, I decided to take our son into the pediatrician this morning. He hasn’t been sick or anything, just started screaming the past two nights around 11:30pm. Then he’d just scream and scream. So last night I slept [...]

    First Shot At Banana Bread

    Wednesday, November 19th, 2008

For any of you that follow my blog or know me pretty well, there’s one fruit I can’t stand, it’s banana. I ate a rotten one or something when I was a kid, and even though my mother says it never happened, I’ve been hard pressed to even smell banana. But the kids [...]

    My After Baby Plan

    Wednesday, November 19th, 2008

Alright, so I’ve been through this before. With the last kid I gained 40 pounds. It took about a year to get it all off, and that was without trying at all. This time though, I have a plan! Right, right, my great plans. But hey, ya gotta have goals, [...]

Are You Serious! - Toy Rant

    Tuesday, November 18th, 2008

I asked my daughter (6) what she wanted for Christmas. It’s definitely time to start hunting for bargains! She knew what she wanted right away. “I want Biscuit the dog.” Ok, fine, so I put it on her list. I e-mailed a few people and let them know about Biscuit, [...]
