4th Picture Folder, 4th Photo Meme
Feb 10th, 2009 by Mommie

Maureen over at Professional SAHM tagged me with the 4th Picture, 4th Folder meme. The rules are:

1. Go to the 4th picture folder on your computer.
2. Post the 4th picture in that folder.
3. Explain the picture.
4. Tag 4 more bloggers.

So I was all excited to see what kind of great pic I’d find. Turned out to not be so exciting!

This was my belly at 15 weeks for this pregnancy. I’m looking forward to seeing it shrink to smaller than that!

Enjoy…

Suicides Are Rising From Economy
Jan 30th, 2009 by Mommie

What a sad title for a post! But guess what people, it’s true.

Ervin Lupoes Family

Case in point, Ervin Lupoe lost his job, as did his wife. He then went in, shot his two 2 year old twin boys, his wife, his two twin 5 year old girls, his 8 year old daughter and then himself.

That’s 2 adults and 5 children out of this life forever.

This is a sign of the times, as the economy worsens. Currently the housing market is in shambles, the banks are in chaos, credit is a joke, health insurance (don’t get me started on that, as I was informed today that even with our health insurance it could possibly cost us over $10,000 to have our son) is in disarray, unemployment is hitting record highs, you name it, it’s bad.

I do pray that everyone makes it through this hard time, safe and sound. The alternative is absolutely not acceptable.

When To Spill It On The Tooth Fairy
Jan 21st, 2009 by Mommie

tooth fairy

Last night our daughter pulled yet another tooth out of her mouth. She’d been messing with it for some time, trying to wriggle the little thing from her mouth. But for us, it wasn’t as exciting as her first, or even her second. While we were happy that she pulled it without a huge ordeal, we must not have been impressed enough to remember being the tooth fairy…

I was supposed to remind my husband to put make the cash switcheroo, but I’m lucky if I can remember to turn off the oven, or let the dog out of his crate in the morning. Thus the switch wasn’t made and she awoke to a big surprise… the tooth fairy didn’t come. Read the rest of this entry »

Human Nature Can Repulse Me
Jan 16th, 2009 by Mommie

This last week, my father, who is one of the nicest men on the entire planet, never hurt a fly, had his wallet stolen while he was playing racquetball. Some 18 year old looking guy broke into his locker and took it. Within hours, this low life had charged over $2,500 on his credit cards and used their debit card to drain that account as well. So what do I think of this? Read the rest of this entry »

Cut Up Your Chicken
Jan 8th, 2009 by Mommie

I thought I’d post this video. I found it on another site a few months ago and I loved it, I always go back to it. I had never cut up a chicken before I watched this lady, and now I can do it really quick. I still have the gross out factor of touching raw chicken, but no amount of videos will ever relieve that! But this has saved me a lot of money and actually the chicken ends up tasting better than pre-frozen breasts.

New Year’s Resolutions
Jan 5th, 2009 by Mommie

I had mentioned in a post before Christmas that I’d definitely have New Year’s resolutions, but that I just haven’t thought of any yet. But now we are closing the first week of 2009, so I guess I should get my resolutions up here so I don’t make a liar out of myself! Read the rest of this entry »

My heart and prayers go out to the family of John Travolta and Kelly Preston, as their 16 year old son, Jett, died from a sudden seizure today in the Bahamas.

Debuting Moms Cash Site
Jan 1st, 2009 by Mommie

>

Starting out 2009 on the right foot, I’d like to introduce Moms Cash Site, http://www.momscashsite.com. This site was started in an effort to help other moms, or anyone wanting to make money while at home. There’s money out there, you just have to know where to find it. My hopes are to help others to better their lives, maybe even find a way around that “I can’t afford to stay home” excuse that I hear so often. It covers areas like surveys, advertising, selling, pay per post opportunities, blogging and more. Come check it out and start to make some cash on your own!

My Favorite Christmas Present
Dec 29th, 2008 by Mommie

juicing

Now that Christmas is all said and done, I always turn my thoughts to the year ahead. This year I have many goals, but one has gotten a little help from a Christmas present from my husband. He always scares me because he doesn’t really ask me what I want, he just thinks about what he thinks I might want and then gets that. This year he got me a gift that I just love, but I’m sure 99% of people wouldn’t… Read the rest of this entry »
