    Fans May Prevent SIDS

    By User ImageMommie | October 6, 2008

    baby fan

My husband sent me this link earlier today, as I always give him grief for having every fan possible on in our home. It’s a story on how the use of fans in the home may reduce the risk of SIDS up to 72%. That’s kind of insane! They site that it is such a huge drop only when it’s used in a high risk environment, like a hot room.

SIDS scared the crap out of me pretty much until my son hit a year. We did everything we could try and insure we lowered our risk. So if you have a baby, it won’t hurt to turn on a fan!

    Check it out.

I would like to see the research done about lowering the amount of SIDS cases by use of a fan.

I think this is untrue and only hurts people whose babies have died.

SID’s my greatest fear. I was constantly checking my baby till she was about 1. I sleep so light that entire year.
