Gaming With The Fam

My nephews are getting much older now, they are entering their teens. This is a good thing and a bad thing at Christmas. Good because I can get them some items I know a little about, and bad because legos are way cheaper than most of the stuff they want. But my nephews are cool, so I can get them some gifts this year that I know a thing or two about…
Many of you will remember my post on Battlefield 2142, an online game I played with my husband for a while. I was better than him (although he’d never admit it) and I definitely outranked him. Anyhow, my nephews are into this game now and Battlefield 2, which is awesome due to the fact that I’m a veteran. When they were getting set up, I was all giddy.
Now they want some of the expansion packs for it and I’m loving the idea. One of the things that I loved about this was the fact that my husband and I loved to use a Ventrilo Server in order to communicate. Sure you can talk with VOIP, but by setting up one of these servers, you can organize teamwork and clans way more efficiently.
I’m definitely looking forward to sharing this with them. It’s kind of like passing on a torch!
