I Never Thought It Would Happen…
By Mommie | August 27, 2008
Here’s what I wanted…

Here’s what I got…

So am I happy or sad?
Well, I’m a Jeep girl by heart. I had one when I met my husband, man I miss that thing everyday! We traded that in because we were going to start a family and it is quite hard to get kids in and out of the back of it. It’s not as safe as it could be for families either. Anyhow, I want that Jeep back soooo much, but it looks like I’ll have to wait until the 1st grader goes to college, as 5 people won’t fit in a Jeep anyhow.
And yes, we ended up with a minivan. I never thought I’d get a minivan, who on earth wants a minivan. So here’s how you end up with a minivan, you have 3 kids! So do I like the minivan…..suspense…..actually, I love it!
Leather, fully loaded, heated seats, dvd surround dolby sound, power everything including door and rear hatch, stow and go seating, you name it, it has it! I love it. Drive like a car, the most comfortable vehicle I’ve ever driven. And here’s the kicker, it beats our BMW. I liked our BMW because it was a beemer, had great features, drove well, but I think this van beats it. It has more features than the beemer plus some!
So am I a van lover? Well, I’m a Jeep girl, always will be a Jeep girl. I would rather drive a Jeep than any other vehicle. But since I have to transport the kids and our family is growing, this van will work wonderfully. I’m quite happy with our purchase and based on our childrens reaction, so are they!

The minivan is a great car and very practical. One day you’ll have a Jeep again!
I never thought we’d have a stationwagon, but now that we have it for a year (a BMW 318i Touring) I wouldn’t want anything else. We don’t have kids, but it’s very handy with the dogs, luggage, etc.

I’m with you there! I’ve had 3 Jeeps in my life and loved all 3 of them. There is really nothing like a Jeep!
Now I’m in a Kia Sedona and absolutely love it! So does my husband, haha! I love the fold in flat seats, the easy access to the kiddos and knowing that it has the best safety crash rating for all mini vans. It drives so nicely too! I can’t wait to see how it handles the snow!

I, too, have been forced into a “family vehicle.” However, I’ll get my two-seater roadster once the kids are out of the house.
Kids aren’t around forever, right?

I will never, hear my words be forced into a minivan or a station wagon. No NO NO. Luckily I’m done having kids and don’t have to worry about it. When i have grandkids, i’ll be a hot roddin granny. I decided all this a very long time ago lol. Congrats though, maybe you’ll get the jeep when the kids are old enough to enjoy it with you.

I swore I would never get one either but I am not ashamed to admit that I LOVE MINE!! oh, the sliding doors are worth the price tag alone, especially with toddlers and babies.
