McDonalds

So today we went to McDonalds for lunch. We got there way early so the kids could play. Anyhow, it smelled so bad that it was almost hard to eat. The McD’s people said they had just powerwashed the playground and that’s what the smell was.
So it got me to thinking, I wonder how dirty those things really are. I mean, have any other moms or dads been in a McDonalds play gym since they were like 6? I can only imagine how insanely dirty and germy they are, but we let our kids play in them. The thing that amazes me is that our kids don’t really get that sick from them. I mean, how often have you let your kids play in them and how many times do they get sick from it. My daughter hasn’t been sick (knock on wood) for months, yet she goes in there and plays hard.
I wonder if it’s like the public restrooms. I remember seeing this study where the public restrooms were now really clean because people all washed their hands and used toilet seat covers now. Of course that’s mostly adults, not nose picking, coughing kiddos…
