Mom Hair Dilemma

There are a few things that I’ve always heard that having kids will do to a woman.
1) They gain some weight
2) They start to get wrinkles and go grey
3) They chop their hair off, here’s Reese Witherspoon after she had her baby. She definitely changed her look but didn’t chop her hair off all the way.
I’ve been dead set against all of these happening to me, but it just so happens some of them happened anyways…
I didn’t end up gaining much weight. After the baby weight fell off (like 50 pounds of it), I was right back to where I was before my son (um, add like 5 pounds, but close enough).
I was going grey at the age of 23, so I wasn’t to concerned about it. Whatever, if my hair all turns grey I really don’t care, it could be worse, it could all fall out! As for wrinkles, yep. My son was born and a few months later the wrinkles appeared. Maybe it’s just the age I am, but it seemed quite a coincidence!
Now for the hair, it’s been down to the middle of my back for at least 10 years. My husband didn’t want me to become “that mom”, you know, the one who gets a boy haircut because they don’t have time anymore, the kids pull on it, it’s just a nuisance. Well, I finally decided to make a change, after having my hair up for basically the first year of my sons life.
I didn’t go hog wild and get a boy haircut, but I did chop off a good 6 inches, so now it’s just below my shoulders. I also got some long bangs, I haven’t had those since high school. I told that lady I didn’t care what she did as long as it was easy to do (i.e. less than 5 minutes) and looked different. I guess it does, beats me, but I just couldn’t do anymore of the hair-up days.

I did not cut my hair OFF, but I did get it shorter, just above the shoulders. Although with my son being six now, I have grown it back out to the middle of my back.
