Oh, I Wish I Was Knocked Up
By Mommie | April 1, 2008
Oh, I wish I was knocked up. Oops, I guess that’s not politically correct. Ok, I wish I was pregnant. People all around me are getting pregnant and it just makes me think back to being pregnant. Almost a year ago I had my son and it feels like yesterday (except for I’m like 60 lbs lighter, lol). This is a pic of me at my baby shower, only a few days before I gave birth. Man I looked fat (and beautiful). Anyhow, so what did I love about being pregnant?
I’ve posted about this before. I was in a lot of pain when I was pregnant, my husband had to pop my hip into place each night (literally) just so I could sleep. I couldn’t walk, I constantly had strep, I was always sick. I had morning, afternoon and evening sickness, I was sick in the third trimester. I was huge, and I mean huge.
But it’s that belly, that beautiful belly that holds a baby. Oh how I loved my monstrosity of a belly. It held my baby boy!
A buddy of mine over at They Call Me Mama is prego and posted about not being able to find cute maternity clothes. Oh how I loved maternity tops that showed off my belly. Check out these maternity clothes from Kiki’s. They have some of the cutest tops that show off your awesome belly!! Plus their $9.99 tops can’t be beat. I wish I would have found them when I was prego!
Anyhow, here’s to wishing I was pregnant!!! And congrats to everyone that is…

I miss being pregnant too! My youngest is 6 months old and I miss being pregnant every time I see a cute pregnant woman!
I was miserable when I was pregnant all 4 times, but I sure do miss it many days! The idea of that baby coming soon and the anticipation really was great!
I remember being pregnant thinking these next damn several months can not come fast enough and then when the baby is here you think geesh that went by fast.
I bought allot of my maternity dresses and tops from KiKis! Very very cute maternity clothes and not expensive!

As a mother I would have thought you would have known this … but here goes nothing:
Mommies and daddies can share a special kind of ‘hug’ that when done properly (or improperly, depending on the intentions of said hug) it will allow the mommy to have a baby! That’s all I feel comfortable saying now - but I encourage you to Google it if you need more information.
BEST OF LUCK!

Happy Thursday!
