Shipping Fiasco – Watch Out!
November 30th, 2008 by Mommie

shipping

I thought I’d let everyone know about a Christmas shipping fiasco I became a part of on the day after Thanksgiving. I purchased a PC game through Amazon, they had the best prices on the game I was looking for. It was the only item out of like 10 that I had to pay shipping for, as it was through an Amazon seller. I was ok with that, so I paid $3.99 to ship a game that was $16.99. The seller had good reviews and I saw no problem, until the next day…

That was until I received an email from them the same day. It was just a regular shipping notice, it said to check all the information and if there was anything incorrect. If there was I was supposed to contact them. So I start looking at it and it says that I’ve purchased a UK version of the game (which is not what I wanted at all) and then it says that there is no disk, just a download code that they e-mail to me. So I was going to pay them $3.99 to e-mail me a download code? I don’t think so.

I e-mailed them back and asked for a refund, as that was ridiculous. They obliged (I think), but still, what a scam they had going!

Just be careful on shipping this year, many places are upping their shipping costs to compensate for the low prices they have to offer! They are doing it on everything, from charging $50 to ship tv stands to $15 to ship a CD, so just watch it!
