Yes everyone, I’ve caught yet another Entrecard virus. I’m so sick of these things. This one sucks and it’s all I can do to post this. It opens up another web session everytime I type. Goodie.
Entrecard brings me a large amount of traffic a day, but honestly I’m wondering if it’s worth it with all the viruses I seem to get. I have the latest everything to protect my PC and it’s just not working.
We’re going to format my computer here in a little bit, which I hate to do. Looks like I won’t be dropping cards for a while, and I think I’m even scared to now. Stay tuned…
Sometimes i’m so grateful that I use a Mac… I haven’t dropped cards in a very long time.. I just didn’t see the worth in it anymore.. it took too much time and way too many pop ups..
Good luck getting rid of it! I think I finally got my computer cleaned up last night, and now I’m changing my whole dropping strategy. I also started using NoScript, and it seems to be helping a lot (there’s a good article about how to use it on the Turnip of Power blog).
Hi. I also caught some bugs while doing my EC drops. Now, I only return drops from my inbox and only open logos that I already know. I like finding new blogs but everytime I get one in my inbox, I´m afraid to click, which isn´t good… The only software that helped me cleaning my PC was “Search and Destroy”. A good Monday. Cheers.

I am so hesitant to drop on sites I’m not familiar with. I’m so sorry to hear you got another virus, makes it that much scarier to drop.
@Blog Tactic – I would if I could, but when I drop I open up about 60 sites at a time. There’s no way for me to tell which one is doing it.
@Mize – I’ve been using Spybot’s search and destroy, along with other to try to scrub it off my PC, with no avail. It just keeps coming back. Ugh. Daddie tried some things last night to try to fix it. It’s fixed for now but I’m not holding out much hope…
That really stinks. I am so glad I am a Mac user *whew*
I’m giving up on entrecard myself. I just can’t find the time to give it a good effort and now reading about you getting viruses, it’s not really worth it for me.

I haven’t gotten any problems as a result of dropping BUT I drop from a specific list everyday and i click on some cards that look interesting. So far i’ve been lucky BUT Sezwho is causing big problems today. Every page i open that uses it asks me for credentials and it takes forever for the stupid thing to go away.

It just has to do with all the blogs on entrecard. I used to drop on 300 sites a day. Out of 300 sites, a few are bound to be infected!
