Suicides Are Rising From Economy
January 30th, 2009 by Mommie

What a sad title for a post! But guess what people, it’s true.

Ervin Lupoes Family

Case in point, Ervin Lupoe lost his job, as did his wife. He then went in, shot his two 2 year old twin boys, his wife, his two twin 5 year old girls, his 8 year old daughter and then himself.

That’s 2 adults and 5 children out of this life forever.

This is a sign of the times, as the economy worsens. Currently the housing market is in shambles, the banks are in chaos, credit is a joke, health insurance (don’t get me started on that, as I was informed today that even with our health insurance it could possibly cost us over $10,000 to have our son) is in disarray, unemployment is hitting record highs, you name it, it’s bad.

I do pray that everyone makes it through this hard time, safe and sound. The alternative is absolutely not acceptable.

This is certainly a sad story. And there is no doubt that we have a hard road ahead of us. But, we just simply have to keep the faith.

We cannot lose hope. We will get this turned around. I for one am feeling very hopeful about the future.

After all, some times we have to endure the dark to fully appreciate the light.

We are simple ordinary lower middle class people. Before the last eight years we were middle class. But, we are a strong people who have once again united to work together to bring about change.

I have faith that God will smile down and bless us. We only need to let him know that we have learned our lesson.

As for my husband and myself we are trying our best to do as ask of President Obama. We are not hording our money.

Yes we are being a little wiser with our spending but we are still spending. We all must keep the money flowing as much as we possibly can or things will most definitely get worse.

At least for now our family is keeping the faith, praying and contributing as much as we can.

The road ahead is long and will be hard but we will survive!!

    God Bless you and yours!:-)

I have been reading your blog. I love it! You are so right. It is getting so expensive to live, yet people are getting laid off or fired everyday. Its so sad to see families so distraught over money, resort to the only thing that they THINK is the better alternative. I for one have hit bottom, but vowed to myself, husband and kids, that I will make our lives as good as we can…thinking positive and putting things into perspective is the key.
Good luck on your pregnancy and delivery..I look forward to reading more of what you write about!
