    Sun, Pills and the Treadmill

    By Mommie | April 5, 2008

Ah, the sun is out, the temperature and rising, it can only mean one thing…women all across the world are running to the store to stock up on weight loss pills, piling into the gym to run off the last 6 months of sloth and the return of the sarong. So will it work this year?

The crash diets rarely work the way women would want them to. Wouldn’t it be nice to just eat cheesecake and triple cheeseburgers (dipped in mayo of course) and still weigh a buck fifteen? So I’m assuming (and only assuming) that the people hitting the crash diets this spring won’t be on them for to long.

People also use supplements to aid them in their loss. I remember trying some of these back in the day (back in the day when I weighed 110 and didn’t need them). They made me jittery and weird all day long. Products now have hoodia in them, many to aid in appetite suppressing. While I wish my appetite was sometimes suppressed, you need to watch the amount of hoodia in the products you use. Hoodia has been proven to work, but you need to be weary.

So with summer around the corner, I’m looking forward to looking 60 pounds less than I did a year ago (I was pregnant of course) and being healthier than I have been for a long time. No crash diet, no supplements, just me being an active and healthy Mommie!

What are you doing to get in shape for summer? Let Mommie know!
