Parenting Tips

Today I was able to two of my nephews, ages 7 and 4. While I was around them they were playing one of those Lego games, you know, the Star Wars one where all the characters are Lego's. It got me to thinking about the Lego games and I wondered if they really are kid friendly?

I had read about these tattoos for kids that have information on them in case a child gets lost. These are a great idea if you're going to a zoo or amusement park! They are put out by Safety Tat. Go check them out, it's a wonderful idea. They also have tattoos for allergies, which don't take the place of medical jewelry but definitely help get the message out!

There are so many kids today that I believe are over-indulged. Many people think our daughter is one, she is six and has a laptop and a desktop computer in her room. We are computer geeks ourselves, so that makes sense to me. But what about the parents that buy their kids ponys (or horses)? Are they being overindulgent?

Awww, my sweet baby boy! He's asleep in his highchair, thumb in his mouth and pulling on his ear. But that innocent baby thumb sucking has led to a trip to the pediatrician for a staph infected thumb, getting sliced three times with a scalpel on his baby boy thumb, having it squeezed so all the puss could drain out and a lovely round of antibiotics! So we need the thumb sucking to stop (even though he's only 12 mo old) but how do you do it?
