This morning, around 6:30 am, I came downstairs with the baby to check my e-mail and Mommieshome. What did I see crawling across the floor but what I believe to be a black widow spider. Turns out my husband had killed one just the night before as well, so that made two. My husband then banned my son from coming downstairs until we can figure out where they are coming from. It got me to thinking, what are the risks of a black widow bite to a child or infant?

This weekend we finally did it, we packed up the car and went up into the mountains to do some camping. We ended up finding a spot just northwest of Central City, Colorado at about 5:30 PM on Friday night. So how did camping with a one year old go?
As we hit the true summer, I did what it seems all moms end up doing during the summer, I got my child into swim lessons. But, unlike having my kindergartner in them last year, the lessons are for my 14 mo old baby. So what good will it do for a baby to have "swim lessons"?
