Why He’s Not Getting An iPhone
December 13th, 2008 by Mommie

iphone

My husband is the type of man that wants the coolest, most expensive gadgets, no matter what. He’s always been that way. I always tell him he can’t have A, B or C, basically because there isn’t room in our budget for his toy tastes. So for Christmas this year, all he really wants is an iPhone. I’m not caving this year and here’s why…

I’m easy on cell phones. I use mine a lot, but it still ends up lasting forever. I never see the need for a new one basically because mine works just great. My husband, on the other hand, has broken three phones in as many years. He drops them, must be terribly rough on them, because they just don’t last. His last phone he broke fairly quickly and I told him he had to wait until we redid our contract so he could upgrade his phone. Then I went online and got him one of the cheapest unlocked cell phones I could find, I think it was like $20. He just had to use it for about three months. Ya, one day with that phone and he had disassembled his good phone, trying to figure out what was wrong.

So even thought the iPhone is straight cool and I’m sure he’d love it, there is no way that he’s getting it for quite a while. For a guy that is as hard on his phones as he is on his, there’s just no way. Sorry babe, you’re not getting an iPhone!

Ok, I have an iphone. Can’t buy insurance for it and I don’t really like it that much. It’s hard to answer quickly, dial quickly, etc. It’s great if you need to check your email, but that’s about it. Also, it’s slippery. I have a plastic rubber jacket on mine so I don’t drop it.

ha, well maam I think your husband should and can get an iphone! theyre protectors all over ebay that protect from that sort of thing, i’ve dropped my iphone probably 3-5 times and it’s still in perfect working condition :) you can always get him a smaller touch screen too one that doesn’t break as easy but that probably wouldn’t be as nice! Anyways, if you decide to cave haha gsmallover.com and puremobile are great places to shop, that is if you don’t just go to at&t but you need to make sure it’s unlocked if you have t-mobile. being a big fan of the iphone it’s hard to see others not be able to splurge a little ;)
