Thanks for writing about it. A lot of child safety is common sense but because parents get so tired, they often forget the little preventative things that keep their kids safe. Another tip: ALWAYS run the cold tap again after hot has been on so that the tap cools and little hands or bodies won't be burnt by touching hot steel tap fittings. She was going to add some cold later and she left the room and her young daughter came in and fell in the water. I was too young to understand everything that went on, but I remember talk of ICU and later surgeries. It's always stuck with me, and I've never ran only hot water because of that.
